Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver
Manufactured in 1854. Standard two line New York barrel address, "COLTS / PATENT" on the frame, the number "3" on the left side of the barrel lug, and the stagecoach holdup scene on the cylinder. Matching full serial number on the barrel, frame, cylinder, trigger and backstrap, with the partial serial number on the loading lever and wedge. One piece varnished grip.

Condition: Very good plus. The barrel retains 20% original blue finish and the frame retains flashes of original case colors with the overall balance a smooth gray patina. The cylinder has traces of blue, blut is mostly a smooth gray patina. There is some scattered minor pitting overall, with a patch of deeper pitting on the cylinder. About 95% of the cylinder scene remains. The trigger guard and backstrap retain approximately 50% original silver plating with the exposed brass having a fine aged patina. The grip is very fine with much of the varnish, some minor handling marks. Cylinder is slightly out of time, otherwise action is fine.
