Manufactured in 1956, the first year of production for the 2nd Generation Single Action Army revolver. One line address on top of the barrel, "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" on the left and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, the left side of the grip straps under the grip and on the inside of each grip panel. Matching assembly number, (341), on the back of the frame and on the loading gate. Casehardened frame with blue remaining parts, blade front and frame notch rear sights and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Condition: Very good. The revolver retains 80% original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear and a mix of smooth gray patina and original thin blue finish on the grip straps. There is a drag line and some minor cycling scratches on the cylinder. The frame retains 95% original case colors with the colors silvering out on the loading gate. The grips are slightly faded and remain excellent with a few small minor dings on the lower edges and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
