Made in 1934, and bearing the trademark alterations of the "Fitz Special", being a short barrel, deletion of the front third of the trigger guard, and bobbing the hammer. Fitz Specials were special order only items, with most being made in larger calibers. Standard short barrel markings, with "4" on the left rear trigger guard heel, with the Rampant Colt on the side plate and checkered trigger and smooth hammer. Inside on the frame is a small inverted Colt triangle with the letter "P" inside. These are indicative of a factory remark, so further research may verify the modifications as original. Grips are smooth two-piece mother of pearl.
