Colt Combat Commander 9mm semi-automatic pistol, factory A engraved with inscription "George A. Strichman, Chairman of the Board, Colt Industries", silver plated, checkered wood grips with gold medallions, masterengraved by Dan Goodwin, in presentation deluxe leather bound book casing by Arno Werner with author listed on spine of book, George a Strichman book titled "Colt on Moral Reform", shipped to Colt Industries, 430Park Ave, New York, NY, May 26, 1976, under remarks it is stated that George was Chairman of the Board for Colt Industries from 1962 to 1987, #GAS-2. Refer to Lot #1662 of this catalog for similar engraved Colt Commanderfrom Strichman collection. The pistol shows all of its original silver plated finish going to a light patina, some minor operating marks, light scratches, near mint with just slight handling, no evidence of firing,98-99% original finish with excellent grips. The presentation book case is also excellent to near mint, with just some slight handling marks and minor scratches. The idea for book casing came from 19th century Colts and
