Colt .41 caliber Model 1877 thunderer sheriffs or storekeepers model with 3 ½” barrel made without ejector rod housing and showing desirable one-piece rosewood grips and early serial number 11902. The front of the trigger guard has been cut away long ago and the pistol shows an old re-nickeled finish of the which about 90% to 95% remains. The barrel address and patent dates are legible on the frame and the grips are very good with a few compressions but fit impeccably. The action is not working properly and the frame number in the trigger guard number was removed when the guard was cut. Probably customized for fast draw or gun fighting.
