Colt 3rd model Dragoon, civilian series, 4-screw, cut for shoulder restock, London address, British proofed, blue and case hardened finish, varnish wood grips, silver plated straps, serial #18491. One of only three known London Address, cut-for-stock Dragoons to this cataloger. The pistol remains in near fine original condition showing 60-80% original blue on barrel, drifting on the lugs and muzzle with some scratches, minor erosion, and just beginning pinprick pitting. Some marks around the wedge port area, normal aging, but generally sharp, crisp, and with some bright and inky blue. The top flat of the barrel is stamped “Col. Colt, London” and original folding rear sight with blue is retained with full height German silver commercial front sight. The cylinder shows 60-80% well-defined cylinder scene with model USMR and Colt’s Patent mostly visible, just light on the ends. The cylinder shows a score or scratch around the front end 3/8” of an inch back from the front edge where it was scored. The cylinder shows a few dents, minor spotting and erosion, but most of the scene is visible and well-defined. The frame shows 50-60% case hardened colors with some natural aging and darkening, but
