Colt 3rd model Dragoon, .44 caliber percussion, 7-1/2” barrel, 4-screw variation, cut for shoulder stock, with original stock. Gun serial #16648. The revolver remains in good to very good original condition showing a grey to brown patina finish, some light cleaning and recoloring on breech end of barrel, general good metal surfaces with some light to slightly heavy pitting on front of muzzle. The cylinder shows 30-50% light original cylinder scene with model USMR and Colt’s Patent mostly visible. The original folding leaf sight remains but shows some pits. The frame shows traces of case hardened colors as does the hammer and loading lever. The cylinder retains all six original safety pins. The grips are good to very good with some small losses, wear at the edges, normal aging. The action is good, the interior is very good. The loading lever and all others are numbered to match 16648. The barrel is #16703. Original Colt 3rd model Dragoon should stock shows serial #16501 and 16502 stamped on buttplate. Metal surfaces show light to slightly heavy pitting and erosion, some cleaning. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
