Colt 2nd Model square-back 1851 Navy revolver in very good original condition showing considerable original finish and period ivory grips, serial number 3463. This Navy shows 10% plus original blue on barrel withconsiderable original blue beneath the ramrod. The barrel address is sharp and the edges still fairly crisp. There is some scattered light to moderate erosion and slight wear at the muzzle from being carriedin a holster. The front sight has been changed to blade and post type with enlarged groove in hammer. The cylinder shows 50% to 70% original scene which is going light and Ornsby signature faintly visible. There issome slight pitting on the cylinder but generally very good with all cylinder pins remaining. The frame, hammer and loading lever show traces of silvery gray case hardening gone to a light patina. There issome scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting. This Colts patent marking is very clear on left side of frame and is the correct small size stamp. The early loading lever is matching and all visible serial
