Colt 1908 .25 ACP semi-auto pistol showing factory nickel plated with medallion pearl grips and period block letters inscribed “Sam M Wood” on the left front of the frame. Factory letter confirms finish and grips butthe inscription is not listed but is “of the period”. Sam M. Wood was involved in motion pictures in Hollywood and Culver City by tradition. The Colt remains in fine original condition with 95%-98% original nickel withonly natural beginning age and no over polishing. The grips show a large chip by the screw on the left but otherwise would be near fine. Correct nickel clip. The markings are crisp and the bore is very good. Acollector’s quality 1908 with desirable finish and grips. Formerly award winning Ron Kowal Collection. (C&R) Est.: $750-$1500
