Colt 1872, 22 cal. 7 shot open top revolver N.Y. style period scroll engraved, nickel plated, pearl grips serial #58947. The revolver remains in very good plus to near fine original condition with 85-95% originalnickel drifting at the edges and front of cylinder with unpolished original nickel plate. There is some light beginning pinprick pitting mostly on the front of cylinder. The hammer shows most of itsoriginal colors. The grips are very good plus and are original. The markings are sharp, the action crisp, matching numbers. Shows Nimschke style scrolls, stars, ropes and banners and a light treatment oncylinder. An untouched 1872 that has not been polished and is out of an old collection. Est.; $1,400-$2,800.
