Colt 1860 Army revolver, .44 caliber percussion, brown patina finish, wood grips, interesting old engraving on triggerguard and backstrap, serial #65918. The pstol shows all matching visible serial numbers, approx.30-50% cylinder scene, scattered light to heavy pitting, with a heavier pitting occurring on the ramrod and rear of cylinder. The grips show a large chip or loss from each toe, with some wear at the edges, otherwise would be good. The barrel address and frame marking are sharp, a couple of screws are replaced. Action good, generally good overall. The triggerguard and top of backstrap show some old engraving which issomewhat amateurish and probably an attempt by the original owner to beautify his Colt, but not trying to copy anyone else’s work.
