Colt 1860 Army 1st Model Richards conversion .44 center fire Colt caliber, showing 1871-1872 patent dates, iron back strap and trigger guard, serial number 5724 made in its own serial number range as a cartridge armusing left over percussion parts. This revolver shows traces of original blue and case hardening within a light gray patina and there has been some minor cleaning long ago. There is some scattered light to moderatepitting and erosion. The front sight has been slimmed about halfway down. The cylinder shows 50% to 70% original cylinder scene with partially visible engagement dates on the edge. The grips are good with some notches at the edges and small losses along with general aging. All matching visible serial numbers. Good markings, good overall with tight action and good bore. Est.: $2,500-$5,000.
