Colt 1851 Navy revolver, .36 caliber percussion, brown patina finish with traces of original blue and case hardening, unvarnished wood grips, serial #110289, in serial number range that may letter. The Navy shows faint traces of original blue mixing in a dark brown patina on the barrel, some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting, some dings and mars around the left edge of barrel lug at bottom andsome nicks around wedge port. The cylinder shows 10-20% cylinder scene with engagement dates lightly visible on the front edge. The frame, loading lever and hammer show traces of case hardening going to a dark and dirtypatina with a coating of grime or surface rust that may clean. The backstrap and triggerguard were never plated and the grips show no varnish indicating military type finish. The grips are good with some dings,mars, scratches, and a well done repair to the left toe and are generally fair to good. All matching visible serial numbers. Good markings, generally good overall.
