Colt 1851 Navy Revolver converted to 38 rimfire cal. Early small guard variation. Serial # 22199, the pistol has been fitted with a large buckhorn rear sight and blade front sight during its period of use. Theconversion is a Richards-Mason style that’s somewhat crude probably by frontier gunsmith. Even brown patina finish, good overall, matching numbers, a few replaced screws and small parts missing 1 triggered guard screw. Action working, numbers match including wedge. Est.; $750-$1,500.
