Colt 1849 pocket model in .31 caliber percussion with 6” barrel and small trigger guard, serial number 88281 showing an old re-nickel finish and varnish wood grips. The Colt shows a two line New York address with a 5 shot cylinder. The condition is good to very good showing 80% to 90% of this old nickel which is toning, drifting and peeling at the edges. The areas where the nickel has lifted are starting to show some erosion and pinprick pitting. There is some nicks at the edges but generally good metal with good grips showing 30% to 50% original varnish and a very good fit. The action is good and generally good overall. Est.:$700-$1,400.
