Colt 1849 pocket model .31 cal. percussion, 6" barrel, finely Gustav Young style engraved and inscribed Col. W. T. Porter from the inventor", serial #59663. The revolver shows "Sam'l Colt" in script letters on the barrel with Colt's patent hand cut on left side of frame. The engraving shows typical fine Gustav Young quality scrolls with animal heads, cobwebs, parrot eagles, and deluxe wolf engraved on hammer with finely stippledthumb piece. The revolver shows 20-40% blue and case hardening drifting to patina, with some light rust and erosion, pinprick pitting just starting. The cylinder retains 70-80% original scene that is slightly light butfully discernable. The burl wood grips show 80-90% varnish with some edge wear, minor imperfections, and normal aging, but at least very good+. All matching visible serial numbers including matching wedge. The action is tight, the bore is good. The trigger guard and backstrap retain 40-60% darkened original silver with a nice even patina. The inscription is absolutely genuine to the period and the terminology from the inventor

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
