Colonel Le Mat patent marked Revolving carbine with provision for socket bayonet on right side of muzzle, nine shot, 11mm top rifle barrel, single shot approx 20 gauge bottom barrel, serial #302 on right rear offrame with small assembly #17 on parts. The carbine measures 39-1/2’ overall with 23-1/2” barrels showing deep brown patina finish with light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting with some slightly heavier pitting on muzzle and bottom of frame but generally good overall with need of cleaning and oiling. The stock shows a burl grain and is in good condition with some scattered dings, mars, staining and a small repair using anail and is near good. An original to the period ram rod is retained along with all correct small parts except finger latch or button for engaging shotgun is missing but pin is in the hammer.
