Collectors quality antique Western American Folk Art cane with grip showing figures of cowboy on bucking bronco attached to black horn (possible buffalo) Ferrell at top of cane on dark hard wood possibly rose woodshaft. The carved grip portion appears to be a nicely grained hardwood possibly rose wood also. The grip area of the cane with carving measures 4-1/2" by approx 2-1/2". The cane measures 36" in length from tip to tip. Thequality of the carving is excellent and the horse shows jeweled eyes, the cowboy has an expression on his face and is wearing a single action in holster on left side, circa late 19th to early 20th century. Best carving of action in a Western scene we have viewed in forty years of selling antiques. Est.; $1,000-$3,000.
