A) Possibly French in origin. Serial number on the left side of the frame and an unrecognizable oval proof on the left rear of the barrel and on the cylinder. Dove tailed and screw attached barrel rib/top strap with integral blade front sight and notch rear sight, ejector rod on the right side of the barrel lug, six round unfluted cylinder and fitted with smooth two piece walnut grips with iron buttcap, with lanyard ring.

Condition: Good. The metal surfaces have a smooth mottled brown patina with some scattered minor pitting. The grips are very good with some overall scattered minor dents and dings. The action is fine.

B) The left rear of the barrel is marked "E. LEFAUCHEUX / IN VR BREVETE", the left rear of the barrel rib is marked with a "crown/AJ" followed by 3967, the left side of the barrel lug is marked "11", frame "2504" and the cylinder "5825". The Liege proof is marked on the cylinder and lower right side of the frame, and there is a "crown/EI" proof on the cylinder. Dove tailed fixed front and notch rear sights, six round unfluted cylinder, ejector rod mounted on the right side of the frame, trigger guard spur and fitted with two piece checkered walnut grips with iron buttcap, with lanyard ring.

Condition: Very good plus there is 20% of the original blue finish present on the cylinder and frame under the ejector rod, the metal has a mottled brown patina with some scattered minor pitting. The grips are very good with a few scattered minor dings and dents, with crisp checkering. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
