A) Dated 1936 on the chamber. External numbers match, including the aluminum base magazine. "Eagle/63" and "droop wing Eagle" proofmarks on the barrel and extension, with the latter also on the left side of the breechblock. Straw and niter blue finished small parts and checkered grips.

Condition: Very fine, with 75% plus of the slighly thin original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, a dent on the upper back strap and scattered spotting and handling marks. Grips are also very fine, with some minor dents. Mechanically very good.
- B) Late WWII P38 pistol rig as manufactured by Walther in 1944. The slide has the standard "AC 44" markings, (in-line) along with the double Eagle/359 proofs and single Eagle firing proof. It has the standard dark brown ribbed grips and is complete with two WWII blued magazines and a 1943 dated leather holster. The back of the holster is stamped with "43/Eagle/WaA86/P38".

Condition: Very fine with 70% of the faded original blue finish overall with the front gripstrap being a brown patina. The grips are in very good condition with minor handling marks with some slight separation of the grip on the lower right side. The interior modified holster (top body cut out) is in otherwise very good condition with a nice even black finish overall with four holes in the front flap where a Nazi badge was removed. The stitching is tight and one of the belt loops on the back has been resewn. The pistol has matching numbers on the various parts.
