B) Manufactured in late 1937, this example is marked behind the standard front sight "SA/flaming bomb/5-38". Standard markings and features with an "N.S." marked bolt. Mounted on a smooth walnut stock with two reinforcing bolts, an "RA-P" cartouche and a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, 98% of the dark green parkerizing remains with some scratches on the front sight boss and some high edge wear. The refinished stock is very good with some scattered minor scratches and light dings. Mechanically fine.

A) Manufactured in late 1928, the barrel is marked behind the standard front sight "S A/flaming bomb/12- 28". The rear sight does not have the 2,850 yard volley notch or polished graduations. The bolt has a curved handle and is marked with the steel lot code "N.S." on the top flat of the knob. Mounted on a smooth walnut straight grip stock with grasping grooves, two reinforcing bolts, a correct boxed "D.A.L." inspected cartouche on the left wrist, a circled "P" proofmark on the underside of the wrist, a "5" stamped on top of the wrist and a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine, 90% of the slightly faded dark green parkerized finish remains with scattered minor scratches and high edge wear. The replacement stock is very good with scattered scratches and dings along with a few moderate gouges. Mechanically needs work as cutoff switch will not move from "ON" position.
