With an unmarked leather claw sling, a Rock Island Arsenal Model 1905 bayonet dated 1910 and a leather covered scabbard marked "R.I.A./1906/E.H.S.".

Very good as partially refinished (front barrel band and floor plate), the barreled receiver retains traces of the original finish with a gray or brown patina on the balance. The front barrel band and floor plate retain half of the dull blue finish with some dings and minor pitting under the finish. The replacement bolt retains most of the dark green parkerized finish. The revarnished stock is good as heavily sanded with some scattered minor handling marks and legible cartouche. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is very good as refinished and the scabbard is good.

A) Manufactured circa early 1919 with the barrel marked "R.I.A./flaming bomb/2-19". The bolt has the steel lot code "R 5" stamped on the underside of the bolt handle. Mounted on a smooth walnut straight grip stock with grasping grooves, two reinforcing bolts, a boxed "OHA/1919" cartouche on the left wrist, a circled script "P" proof on the bottom of the wrist and a smooth steel buttplate. With a leather claw sling marked "1918", a Rock Island Arsenal Model 1905 bayonet dated 1918 and a canvas and leather scabbard.

Arsenal refurbished, 90% of the parkerized finish remains with some scratches, high edge wear and some pitting on the barrel and front barrel band. The refinished floor plate retains half of the poorly applied blue finish with some flaking and brown patina. The stock is fine with some minor scratches and dings. The cartouche is sharp. Mechanically excellent. The sling, bayonet and scabbard are all fine.
