A) Originally intended for use by cavalry, there were between 5,500 and 6,000 manufactured. Fixed front and frame notch rear sights. The serial number is on the left side of the frame and barrel and on the cylinder. Fitted with checkered plastic grips with a Swiss cross on the left panel.

Condition: Good, traces of the original blue finish remain with a smooth gray/brown patina on the balance. The grips are very good with the left having a large chip at the top left. Mechanically excellent.
- B) Manufactured with a fixed front and frame notch rear sights. The serial number is marked on the barrel, frame and cylinder with the last three digits on the various small parts with some also having "323" marked on them. Fitted with checkered plastic grips with the Swiss cross in the center on the left grip. With a leather belt marked "BLEUTHARD/SATTLER/1949/ESCHENBACH", a leather holster marked "GUTT FR. RYSER/SATTLER/LEIBEFELD/44", a tin of gun grease and two ammunition pouches with one marked "E. RUTTIMANN/??issraumen18" and the other marked "HANS MOGER/30/GUMLIGEN".

Condition: Very fine, 85% plus original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear with a drag line on the cylinder. There is some minor scattered freckling. The grips are good with a crack on the bottom of the left side and a few minor marks. The leather accessories are all good with aged wear.
