A) Manufactured between 1859 and 1874. Blade and notch sights with "ADDRESS SHARPS & HANKINS, PHILADELPHIA, PENN." in the flute on top of the barrel. The right side of the frame is marked "C. SHARPS PATENT/JAN. 25, 1859". This model was manufactured without the side plate or extractor. Casehardened iron frame. Rotating firing pin mounted on the hammer with spur trigger, checkered hammer and barrel release button, and fitted with checkered gutta-percha grips.

Condition: Fine with 75% blue finish remaining on the barrels with some minor spotting along the sides, and some faded case color visible on the frame. The grips are fine with a few tiny nicks along the bottom edges and some compressions on the sides, with well defined checkering and detail. Mechanically excellent.
- B) Manufactured by C Sharps & Co. Philadelphia PA, circa 1859-74. Marked on the left side of the frame around the hammer screw "C. SHARPS/PATENT 1859" around the hammer screw, right side "C. SHARP & Co/PHILADA. PA." Blued barrels with a small bead front sight and silver plated brass frame with a rear sight notch. Features the straight standing breech, checkered hammer, and spur trigger. Matching serial number on frame and barrels. Fitted with carved gutta percha grips.

Condition: Fine, with 75% silver plate finish remaining on the frame and traces of blue finish on the barrels, with some light spotting on the barrels and edge wear on the frame, with crisp original markings. The grips are also fine with some tiny chips along the bottom edges and minor handling marks, with sharp carving and detail. Mechanically excellent.
