A) Early 1944 production with standard features, the left side of the slide is marked "P.38/ byf/44" next to the four digit serial number (which has no letter code). The right side of the slide has the double "Eagle WaA135" Waffenamt next to the single Eagle firing proof. The matching barrel is correctly numbered (6284) on the front lug with the Eagle/WaA135" Waffenamt proof on the side with the matching locking block numbered "284". It has the correct style late war red, ribbed plastic grips. This pistol is complete with a late war hard-shell black leather holster and two original WWII Nazi marked P38 magazines. The back side of the holster is marked "emx/1944/P.38/Eagle WaA195".
