A) Manufactured in 1859. The revolver has the two line New York barrel address inside brackets, "COLTS/PATENT" on the left side of the frame and the stagecoach holdup scene on the cylinder. Matching numbers on frame, grip straps, cylinder and wedge. The left side of the trigger guard is marked with the letters "K" and "M". Fitted with a varnished one piece grip.

Condition: Very good. The revolver has a mottled brown patina with the barrel retaining 30% original blue finish and the frame and hammer retaining traces of original case colors in the protected areas. Most of the cylinder scene remains. The grip straps retain 70% original silver plating which has darkened with age. The undersized refinished grip is very good with a few mild handling marks. Mechanically fine.
- B) Manufactured in 1861. The top barrel flat is marked "COLT'S PT/1855" and "ADDRESS COL. COLT/HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." with Maltese crosses. The fluted cylinder has the 1850 patent date in one of the flutes. Barrel is numbered to gun. Fitted with a varnished one piece grip.

Condition: Very good as partially refinished (butt). The revolver retains 30% original blue finish on the remaining surfaces with the balance a smooth brown patina. The grip is very fine with a series of minor pressure dents on the bottom and a few minor handling marks overall with much of the varnish remaining. Mechanically fine.
