A) The left side of the frame has the LeFaucheux marking (traces remain) with the letter "C" on the rear of cylinder. Smooth two piece grips and lanyard ring on the butt. consignor notes state that this revolver is one of 10,000 sold to Northern states in the Civil War.

Condition: Arsenal refurbished. The barrel and cylinder retain 80% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The remaining metal surfaces retain traces of original finish in the protected areas with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is some minor spotting mostly on the barrel with an area of minor pitting on the back strap. The grips are good with a large gouge and a deep long cut on the left panel, along with some minor dings and a few shallow gouges.

B) Right barrel flat marked "C.R./ KIRSCHBAUM / SOLINGEN", top flat marked with an "eagle/SP" over "12mm", and left flat marked "SME LEFAUCHEUX". Cylinder has various proofs with "51" on the rear. Light floral scroll engraving featured on the frame and back strap. Two piece grips and lanyard ring on the butt.

Condition: Good. The revolver has a mottled gray patina with some minor spotting and pitting. Loading gate does not latch. Mechanically fine otherwise. The grips are revarnished with some scattered minor handling marks.
