A) No makers markings, Liege proofed cylinder, geometric designs engraved on the cylinder, back strap, trigger guard and frame, pinched style bead front and hammer notch rear sights, ejector rod mounted on the right side of the barrel lug, six round unfluted cylinder and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Condition: Good. The metal surfaces have a smooth mottled gray patina with some minor flash pitting on the barrel lug ahead of the cylinder. The grips have been freshened with a coat of varnish some time ago and remain good with wear on the bottoms and outer edges, and crisp checkering. The cylinder does not lock when hammer is decocked, otherwise the action functions well. The engraving is clear.

B) The left side of the frame is marked "H. ORTMANN / INUR BREVETE", the serial number is on the left side of the frame ahead of the cylinder and the cylinder is Liege proofed. The frame and barrel are one piece, pinched brass front sight, no ejector rod, floral scroll engraved frame, trigger guard and back strap. The cylinder is engraved with alternating floral scroll and a mans face. Fitted with two piece checkered walnut grips with a lanyard ring on the butt.

Condition: Good. The cylinder retains traces of original blue finish on the rear portion, and the remaining metal surfaces have been cleaned bright with overall minor pitting. The grips are good with some heavy wear on the lower portion, a small gouge on the left toe, a few minor dings and for the most part crisp checkering. The action is out of time, but functions fine otherwise. The engraving and marking are clear.
