A) Blade and notch sights, with "J. MARECHAL/ CHERATTE" on the left side of the frame, "JE MAINTIENDRAI/ JOH. MUNTS AMSTERDAM" on the top strap, and "(lion rampant)/ MUNTS" behind the hammer. Je Mainteindrai translates to "I Will Maintain", and along with the lion is a symbol of the Royal House of the Netherlands, as seen on government issued weapons of the era. The cylinder has a Liege proof and the marking "LP" on one chamber, designating which one was to be loaded with a "losse patroon" (blank cartridge) for firing warning shots. Equipped with a pop-out ejector rod, cylinder catch lever, checkered grips and a lanyard swivel.

Condition: Very fine, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing the start of a brown patina on the cylinder, mild edge wear and light handling marks. Traces of strong casehardened color are present on the frame in the protected areas, with a gray patina on the grip straps and a faded brown patina overall. Grips are also very fine, with a few minor dings. Mechanically excellent.

B) Fixed sights, with the legend "Mre D'ARMES H.D.H./ LIEGE" on the top strap, "CALIBRE 8M" on the left side of the frame, and "HDH" on the right. Niter blue and engine turned trigger and checkered ball hammer, with a pair of checkered grips. With a brown leather flap holster.

Condition: Very fine, with 80% of the original finish, showing the start of a brown and gray patina on the sides of the barrel and on the cylinder, fading on the grip straps, and some light handling marks and spotting overall. Case colors on the frame are bright and vivid and 75% plus intact. Strong traces of the niter blue are visible. Grips are also very fine, with a few light handling marks. Holster is fair, with cracking, tears and lost material. Mechanically excellent.
