For your consideration is a collection of four rare marking gauges. The first is marked by the maker "C. Marsh" and is made of ebony and brass. This is a very nice piece of craftsmanship with dark wood and brass fittings with minimal signs of age and use. This piece measures approximately 6 1/2" in length. The second is a "Stanley No. 77" marking gauge made in "New Britain, Conn, USA" stamped on the mortise head, and indicated on the collectors tag. It is made of wood with brass fittings, and has a ruler stamped on the wood bar. This is an early 1900's gauge and measures approximately 7 1/2" in length. The third is marked "S.TyZack&Sons" on the mortise head and is a beautiful rosewood and brass marking guage in great condition. This piece measures approximately 7 3/4" in length. The fourth of this collection is a Stanley marking gauge with "Pat Jan 12 86" stamped on the brass fitting on the mortise head, and "Patented Aug 5, 1873" stamped on the wood bar which is a common marking for Stanley gauges. This piece has a ruler stamped on the wood bar, and brass fittings on the mortise head. It measures approximately 8 3/4" in length.
