Collection of Papago, Navajo & Maricopa Pottery
Included in this lot is a collection of a Papago pitcher, Navajo bowl, and Maricopa vase. The Papago pitcher is from the early 1900's; it shows a small neck and has black designs on the red colored pitcher. The Navajo bowl displays a colorful horned moon and a diamond shaped geometric design. The opening of this bowl is an oval shape with carvings, making it look like a bear’s foot. The bottom of this piece is marked "LW" for Navajo artist, Lorraine Williams. The final piece is a Maricopa vase. This vase shows a large round base with a long neck. The vase is a cream color and is painted with red geometric designs. The neck of this vase had been broken and glued back on. The bottom of the vase is marked "Kevin S. Maricopa 2/09". All three of these pieces are in good condition. The pitcher measures 7 1/4" tall by 6 1/2" wide; the bowl measures 4" tall by 4 1/2" wide; the vase measures 12 1/2" tall by 5 1/4" wide.
