1) Grant commemorative medal, 3 inches wide, with a bust of President Grant on one side, inauguration dates on the reverse. 2) Massachusetts militia medallion, 1 7/16 inches wide, with a "MASSACHUSETTS/MILITIA MEN 1861" hanging pin. The outer edge is stamped "AMASA M. BARTLETT, PRVT. B 3D. REG.". 3) Snuff tin, 4 1/4 inch oval, with the inscription "Corpl. G.W. Briggs/5th Reg. Lt. Inf./1861" on the lid. 4) West Virginia honorable discharge medal, with "CHAs PAYTON Co H 1st REG VET INF VOLs" on the edge. With original box. 5) As 4, marked "THADDEUA AUTTON CORpl Co E 11th REG INF VOLs". 6) As 5, marked "Geo W JUDD BATTy E 1st REG Lt ARTILLy VOLs". 7) Snuff case, silver banded horn construction, with "Capt. E.A. Flint/1st Reg Ms.Cav." on a silver lid plate. 8) Forage cap, black felt construction with a brass bullion horn patch, patent leather bill, black silk lining, and a faint makers mark on the inside.

Condition: Very fine overall. The Grant medal shows a dark patina overall and bright wear on the high edges, light spotting on the Briggs tin, and a small amount of scuffs and material loss on the cap. The medals are excellent.
