This lot gives you the opportunity to bid on a collection of rare fresh and saltwater fishing books. First up are two companion volumes by John Holden: "Long Distance Casting" and "The Beach Fisherman's Tackle Guide". Both books are first editions, published in the U.K. in 1982 and 1983 respectively. Both books show excellent, like new condition with excellent dust jackets. The third book is titled "Modern Fly Dressings for the Practical Angler", by Poul Jorgensen. It, too, is a first edition, published in 1976. The book shows good overall condition, though it has some staining on the fore edge and the dust jacket has some rips and chunks missing on the top edge. It is now additionally protected with a clear Mylar cover. Finally, the pièce de résistance is the Martin J. Keane book, "Classic Rods and Rodmakers". First published in 1976, this is a limited (1000 copies) Second Printing from 1983. The book shows excellent, like new condition and is signed by the author and dated 4/88. This is a rare and collectible book with good examples retailing for $100-300. All four books measure around 8.75" x 11.5", give or take.
