Collection Of Native American Indian Wall Art
In this lot is a collection of Native American Indian, flat backed wall art statues. The first is a man dressed as a chief, in the style of a cigar store Indian and of a southern tribe. He is on a stand with one foot up on a rock. He has a tall feather headdress and a fur stole over his shoulders with the head and foot still attached. He stands out from the wall 2" and is 10" wide and 32" tall. He is made of resin by Burwood Products Co. USA. The second statue is a matching woman. The woman is also in the cigar store Indian, southern tribe style. She is also on a stand and is 23" tall x 8" wide and stands out from the wall 3 1/4". Both Indians have a handful of cigars. The woman has some paint wear on the top of her tall feather headdress, but structurally they are in good condition. The next statue is a 2-piece Indian Chief wall mount. The plaque is number #718 and it is made of resin; it is of an American Indian Chief on horseback and is beautifully painted and made by the Universal Statuary Corp., which was an American company based out of Chicago. The horseback mount is 22” in length, 19 ½” wide, and 4” in depth. The last statue is an American Indian Chief head. It has no identifying markers, but it is hand crafted of chalk wear and has some damage. The Chief head is 15” in height, 13” long, and has a depth of 2 ¾”.
