Signed J. L. W. as the maker, this coin silver cup with handle would date to 1850 or prior, the machining design is a herringbone style and the open cartouche on the front bears the initials CKVV from the Charles King Van Vleck, New York. There is no doubt that this piece is coin silver, handmade and old. The interior of the cup is in good condition, very Minot dents on the exterior surface. The dimensions are 3 3/4" tall to the top of the handle, 4" from edge of the cup to the edge of the handle.
