This is an excellent authentic ancient pre-historic Clovis St. Louis long spear point. The point shows a rare Crescent Quarry Flint material having a slight green coloring with red/brown spotted matrix and is in excellent well-preserved museum quality condition. This is an authentic original Clovis point with rare St. Louis Hazel variation spear point in a very rare large size that was presumably collected in St. Louis Co. This 14,000-10,000 B.P. artifact is from the Missouri Native American Indians and is an exceptionally fine spear point showing wonderful detail and an extraordinary size. Provenance: From a prominent American Indian collection in Billings, Montana. Shows a quarter flute. The point is in excellent condition and measures 3 1/8”L x 1 1/8”W. Most likely a grade G-8 to G-9+.
