Classic Indian decorated Winchester Model 1873 musket, .44 W.C.F. cal., 30” round barrel, blue finish, wood stocks, #NVSN in well worn condition with pommel wear to the forend thru to the loading tube; brass tacks on butt stock; butt plate longago removed as was often the custom as the butt plate was found to be useful as a hide scrapper. If you are a condition collector; this one’s not for you but if you are a collector of guns that saw real use on the frontier and Native Americanassociated weaponry, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better example!
