Civil War tintype of Union soldier in uniform holding strange left-handed lock musket, also showing his rifleman's case, cap pouch and leather gear with buckles. The image measures approximately 3-1/2" x 2-3/4", is in its original hard rubber case showing a floral design; interior of case numbered in pen "291" with label from Holmes, Booth & Hayden; a cancelled 10-cent stamp on reverse indicated tax was paid. The image is in good condition with slight burning at the edges from the foil frame; the case is very good+, image also very good. It would be interesting to identify the strange musket. We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
