Almon Kidder was a lawyer in Monmouth, Illinois. His papers were acquired from the last remaining family descendant who recently passed away. Kidder was mustered in as 1st Sargent and out as a Lieutenant. Kidder was a judge in Monmouth who tried members of Wyatt Earp's family. Included are 2 copies of his 100 day enlistment papers dated 1864, personal letters, hand written election of officers signed off by him in 1864, original muster roll, pay voucher, Roll of Honor hand written list, hand written pages of General Order #29, as well as letters and papers of his pre and post war life as a lawyer. Documents have all lettering clear and legible. An incredible find and an amazing piece of personal Civil War history.
