Tom Mix and his sidekick horse Tony were the stars of many early Western movies, making a reported 336 films between 1910 and 1935, all but nine of which were silent features. Mix died on October 12, 1940 in an auto accident in Arizona in which he was killed by a loose metal suitcase in his car. This original wooden "Tom Mix & Tony" children's rocking horse from the 1920s measures approximately 40" x 22" x 11" and retains roughly 85 percent of its original paint. This rocking horse is still fit for a small child to ride on and is in overall EX condition. This item will be expensive to ship.
