Chinese conversion of a Japanese Arisaka Type 99 bolt action rifle, 31-1/2” barrel, re-blued finish, wood stock, #1224425 in overall good un-cleaned condition as converted showing considerable re-blue with scattered spots of surface rust from long storage, fair + bore, good action and markings, good stock. The Chinese did these conversions mostly in 1946 to a large number of Type 99s they had in surplus, altering them into 7.92x57mm, 8x57mm or 7.62x39mm; an interesting variation of this weapon for the Arisaka collector.
