For your consideration in this lot we have a pair of three Chinese oil-paper parasols and one palm fan. These pieces originate from an estate in Butte MT. In 1870 nearly ten percent of Montana's population was of Chinese descent. These fans constructed of oil paper and bamboo show no makers marks, but it is believed they originate from c. 1950 -. All-in-all, the pieces are in good-fair condition, showing only minor pin-holes or minor tears, one umbrella has larger tears. The largest parasol measures approximately 26 1/2" long, and 4 3/4" wide when the parasol is closed.
