Included in this lot we have a Charles Schreyvogel lithograph titled "The Silenced War Whoop" originating from the early 1900's. Schreyvogel is a known western painter and artist known for his depictions of the wild west. Unfortunetly due to his early death at the age of 51, his artistic carrier was cut short only becomeing recognized 11 years before his death. Dispite that Schreyvogel is still regaurded, along with the likes of Frederic Remington and Charles Russell, one of the artists of the last frontier. This piece depicts a clash between U.S. Cavalry and Native American forces on horse back. The scene shows two cavalry soldiers and three Native American Braves at the front and shows one of the braves falling after being shot. The art work shows wonderful color with excellent attention to detail. The piece is signed in the bottom right hand corner by Charles Schreyvogel. The lithograph is set into a redin frame and shows a tag on the back reading "The Silenced War Whoop By Schreyvogel". The piece shows good condition overall with some minor wear across the frame. The frame measures 22 1/2" wide by 17 1/4" tall with the art measuring 19 1/4" wide by 14" tall.
