Chaplain-Haskins high-grade bolt-action sporting rifle made in Enid, Oklahoma, marked patent pending. 7mm Remington Mag caliber, serial #59. The rifle shows a 25” turned and octagon barrel that this maker is noted for.Half rib with folding rear sight and high-quality workmanship throughout including adjustable trigger and no visible screws. The rifle is stocked in nicely figured walnut that is crisply checkered and the rifle ismounted with quick detachable sling swivels. The center portion of barrel is engraved “Robert E. Petersen”. The gun measures 45-1/2” overall. Stock measures 13” to the end of the wood, 14-1/4” to the end of thepad. The bore is near excellent, rifle is mounted with Swarovski 3x9 Nova scope on Buhler mounts. The condition is very good plus with just some hunting type scratches in the wood, some slight loss of finish at theedges.
