Cavalry Flintlock Blunderbuss
A cavalry flintlock blunderbuss in an unknown caliber. Weapons like these would have been used by horsemen before revolvers were invented. Lockplate has a crescent moon marking (possibly the Ottoman Empire symbol) and some characters on the end of the lockplate. Stock is checkered and has a small chip on the grip. There is a ring on the left side of the receiver for cavalry use. The barrel has some other characters. The tang has a handwritten number "46" on a sticker. The stock has a small crack on the left side towards the muzzle. The ornately decorated barrel band is loose. The blunderbuss has seen use as evidenced by the finish loss on the frizzen. An ancient handcrafted firearm from a bygone age.
