Cast bronze “thunder mug” circa 1600-1700’s, great patina, touch hole plugged with iron spike; no ID marks but ringed like cannon barrel. Many ideas are articulated on these mugs which were used for signaling aboardship and ashore. Purportedly, the Spanish priests and colonists used them to signal and scare natives. Great decorator and 100% genuine to 1700 or before! Est.: $300-$600.
