Cased pair of diminutive Flintlock pistols signed “Perronne Fils” and “a Avignon” (circa 1790-1810) in silver mounted bedroom vanity type case. The pair show iron mounts and are in very good condition with fire blued locksand barrels. The stocks are nicely carved with high relief roses around the tangs. The pair measure 6-1/2” overall and are approx 30 cal with screw type cannon barrels. The pair are contained within a felt lined French type case with lacquered flask of a later date. The top of the case shows a satin or silk type extender to contain writings or letters. The exterior of the case shows fancy silvered metal mounts with initials “M.C.B.” on top. The case measures approx 9-5/8” wide by 5” by 3-1/4” deep and is in good condition with some age cracks, small brakes around hinges but generally very good with fancy claw feet. The case is later than thepistols but is interesting, shows some age, and makes a great display set. Est.;$5,000-$10,000.
