Cased pair of Remington-Smoot New Model No. 1 spur trigger revolvers, .30 cal., 2-13/16” barrels, nickel finishes, rosewood grips, #452 (Early Production with revolving recoil shield) and #654 (Standard Model). These guns are in overall excellent condition showing approx. 99% original finish, fine bores, sharp markings, action on #654 is crisp, action on #452 needs work as cylinder does not rotate and hammer only can be partiallyretracted; grips are excellent on #452 and fine on #654, showing several small losses to finish; casing is in overall very good to fine condition with red baize lining and serpentine wood cartridge block between thetwo revolvers with approx. 16 cartridges; “KM ___” marking in white paint on top of case’s lockplate indicating likely provenance to the famous Karl Moldenhauer collection of Remington’s.
