Cased Smith & Wesson 44 Double Action Frontier Revolver with Ivory Grips
Manufactured circa 1886 to 1913. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the two line address/patent dates. The matching serial is marked on rear face of the cylinder, the rear of the top strap at the latch, and barrel latch, with a lanyard ring installed through the serial number on the butt. The front sight is a pinned blade and the rear sight is a notch in the latch. Fitted with smooth ivory grips marked with the number "977" on the back. Complete with a wooden cased lined with red wine velvet and a box of UMC .44 WCF cartridges (green label, 19 cartridges).

Condition: Excellent, with 95% plus original nickel, with some loss at the barrel latch and on the right side of the barrel near the muzzle with some minor pitting in those areas, along with some minor flaking overall. The hammer and trigger retain 60% of the original case colors. The ivory has an attractive aged color and grain pattern. The case is fine with 80% of the varnish remaining.
