A) Flat topped barrel produced without sights, showing light leaf engraving, with panels of leaf and punch dot engraved brass at the breech, along with a raised silver bust and a smooth band just ahead of the tang. Lock is marked "P-B" on the lower edge, with engraved brass panels on either side of the lock, cut down flashpan with high fence, and filled screw holes. Full length stock, with punch dot checkerboard patterns on the forearm and on top of the wrist, an engraved brass side plate, trigger guard, wrist shield and buttcap, all decorated with silver busts. With a dark velvet lined hardwood case, with bullet mold, ramrod, bullets and caps.

Condition: Good. The once cleaned barrel and lock show a small amount of pitting and handling marks. Brass components are also good, with three screws added to the sideplate and the trigger plate welded in place. Stock is good, with some light pressure dents and handling marks. Case is fair, with one of the latches broken, some cracks and scuffs on the exterior and staining of the crudely attached (nailed) relined velvet. Mechanically fine.

Condition: Good as cleaned, with pitting and spotting on the steel, screws added to the sideplate, and a mixed aged patina on the brass. Stock is fine, with a hole in the forearm with signs of old filler material, cracking around the lockplate, light chipping and pressured dents. Case as described in A. Mechanically fine.
